Thank you for your interest in volunteering and supporting APSS.

We could not carry out our mission without the hard work and support of our volunteers. You are the force that drives the hope of eradicating HIV and HCV in our communities!

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please complete the volunteer application form and email it to [email protected]

Volunteers Are Needed In The Following Areas:

  • Needle Exchange Program
Assist our Needle Exchange Coordinator at our Needle Exchange.
Spaces are limited and are more available in the summer.
    *Must be 18 to volunteer*

  • Packing Parties
Help us to package condoms, Needle Exchange supplies, stamping pamphlets, and so much more!
Twice a month (1st and 3rd Thursday) 5-8pm held at the APSS office.

  • Education Services
Assist our Education Team at education information tables and presenting presentations.
Opportunities for education information tables are available in the summer while presentations to schools, correctional facilities, universities, and community centres are throughout the year.

  • Special Events
This is a great way to help out the organization if you cannot commit to regular volunteering hours. Throughout the year, we have a few awareness events as well as our annual fundraising events:
    • The Amazing Race Against HIV - held on a Saturday in August or September
    • The Annual AIDS Benefit - held at the GLCR the Friday evening closest to December 1st

Or host your own fundraiser to support APSS! This could be a bake sale, a car wash, a drag show, a steak night, or anything you can think of! Contact our Event & Program Coordinator at [email protected] if you are interested.
