In 2020, AIDS Programs South Saskatchewan (APSS):
  • removed over 1.3 million used needles for safe disposal and distributed over 1.4 million new needles through the Queen City Needle Exchange​
  • gave out 26,408 free condoms ​
  • had 4,702 harm reduction conversations with Needle Exchange clients regarding safer drug use practice, sexual health, and addictions counselling including referrals to treatment
  • provided client support to 159 HIV+ clients
  • presented education on HIV, HCV and STIs to 5,673 people ​
  • trained 467 people in Naloxone and 983 kits were used in an overdose (gave out 2,034 kits)
